Entrepreneurial mom Jane Wood says part of the appeal is its retro look. She was living in Britain when she first met Sophie. A Customer's tale about Sophie the Giraffe

We are so pleased with Sophie the Giraffe and just don't know what we ever did without her. Sophie has become all our daughter Mazie wants to chew on, and with the tiny limbs and soft material of Sophie, she is so easy for her to latch onto. Mazie absolutely LOVES this toy. She laughs and giggles each time she makes the little Giraffe squeak - it's a joy to watch her constantly smile at it. Such a simple thing, yet little Sophie has quickly become one of our daughter's favorite toys since she was 3 months old. We finally purchased a second Sophie to live in my purse, and in a moment's notice, I can pull her out as a wonderful distraction for my now 23 month old. Sophie the Giraffe can hold her attention for an unbelievable amount of time. We're so pleased to have found such a perfect toy.
