Product Rating: Product Review (submitted on January 3, 2011):I used the standard infant insert in my Ergo for my baby but I found it to be a bit awkward. I haven't tried the updated versions that look much more cozy. They do look to be an improvement.
It is useful, though, to use inside of ring slings for newborns and small infants. It helps to boost them into a proper position to keep their airways safe (you don't want to chin to chest). So while I didn't use it much in my Ergo, I found it useful just the same and would recommend it as a sling pillow as well!
