Use these all the time, a little bulky with the wings, very absorbent. Review by Miranda
Price Value Quality I think I use these the most of all my diapers. They are very inexpensive and it's cheap to have a lot of them on hand. The one thing I didn't like about them was they were really bulky and it was hard to fit pants over my son's bottom. I solved this problem by sewing the side panels off and just using the middle section inside a Whisper Wrap and tucking the front underneath a bit so it is more absorbent in the front. I find that it is still very absorbent this way. One thing to note is that after a few months of washing the material is not very soft if it is line dried. I solve this problem by lining it with a fleece liner. (Posted on 6/12/10)

Prefolds all the way! Review by Mary
Price Value Quality My son is almost two, and we've been using premium size prefolds since he was about a week old. These are so much cheaper than fitted diapers, and they are not difficult at all to use. They are also incredibly durable, and we're planning to use them for an eventual second child.
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Without hesitation!
I don't recommend them for line drying--they seem to get very stiff that way. Pop them in the dryer, though, and they're good as new every time.

Low maintenance, economical way to cloth diaper your baby Review by Westee
Price Value Quality I used the infant size from 4 weeks to >5.5 months and have just recently switched to the premium size. I nearly always use the trifold and place the diaper within a wrap cover. These diapers are deceptively easy to use (even my husband agrees!) and they launder very well. I always use the dryer to dry them as I do find them stiff when line-dried.
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Yes
The only con I have is that they shrunk to a smaller length by 3" from that indicated by the manufacturer. This isn't really a big deal but I think it might be part of the reason why I have a harder time using a fastener with these diapers on my very chubby-legged baby. (Posted on 6/30/10)

So many good reasons to use pre-folds Review by Barbara
Price Value Quality We used disposable diapers in the hospital and for the first week of my son's life. Once we started using cloth prefolds, we liked them so much, I ended up donating the rest of our disposables to the church daycare. I invested in a full set of diapers when I first became pregnant, since I knew money would be tight when my Mat Leave started. Best money I ever spent.
Prefolds are easier to clean than the pocket or fitted diapers because they wash flat without any little crannies for poop to stick into.
I used the small sized pre-folds from 7lbs to 15lbs and have now moved up to the larger size, we're now pushing 30lbs.
You can re-use the diaper covers over multiple diaper changes, so you only need 4-6 covers with 20-30 prefolds, instead of buying a couple of dozen all-in-one diapers.
I agree with the previous poster that most US style baby jeans don't properly, but I've found that most European-made clothes are better cut to fit cloth bums. It has made no issue for my son's mobility or comfort, so I really look at it as an non-issue.

Price Value Quality Prefolds are a must-have in any well stocked cloth diaper arsenal! They are inexpensive, wash really well (after 7 months of regular use and washing, they still look good as new; no visible wear, no stains!) They are soooo absorbent, when I use prefolds with a diaper cover, I never have leaks. Whereas I find with my AIO and pocket diapers, we have leaks pretty regularly. I do agree that prefolds can be a bit bulky, so I find that they make great 'everyday' diapers, and I use fitteds or AIO's when my son wears 'going out' clothes like jeans.
I love everything Bummis, and these prefolds are a testament to their commitment to quality. (Posted on 7/11/11) -
Most economical way to cloth diaper Review by Narneh
Price Value Quality I love prefolds. When I was first considering cloth diapers I looked at all the options. While AIO and Pocket are great for easy of use, prefolds are much cheaper. I love that they dry faster then the inserts I have for my pocket diapers and there is no 'stuffing' required. I will say that there is a bit of a learning curve if you want to try out some of the different folds; I find that the angel wing fold works great for my son due to his EBF poops. Once I got the hang of it I found that I could just as quickly put on a prefold and cover as I could a pocket diaper. These diapers are super absorbent and because they are cotton I haven't had as many smell issues as I have with the inserts for the pocket diapers I use (for my husbands sanity we have a few pocket diapers for ease of use because they are so similar to disposables)

Overall I love the value of these, ease of use and how quickly they dry. Plus once I'm done with cloth all together I can use them as great rags or pass them on to someone else who could use them. (Posted on 3/4/13)

Too bulky on little babies Review by Shelagh
Price Value Quality I really like the quality and price of these prefolds, but I found that even when using the smaller size they were extremely bulky, especially on a newborn or smaller infant. Maybe trimming them as another reviewer mentioned would help with this issue. I think that for my next baby I would buy some fitted diapers as well, especially for the early months. Price Value Quality We use prefolds the majority of the time, and we love them! My husband was a little leery of them at first, but he got the hang of it in no time- even my mom and sisters, who were previously grossed out by the thought of cloth diapering, find these easy to use! We use the trifold ("girl fold") during the day for our son, and the "boy fold" at night to prevent leaking. (Posted on 1/1/11)

Good inexpensive diaper Review by hen_mama
Quality Price Value These diapers are good for the price and do the trick, but I find them pretty bulky. They also seem to be a bit irritating to my son's skin when he pees. I also find it's nearly impossible to reuse [the diaper covers] when he has a dirty diaper as the poo always finds it's way out of the actual cover. They are really absorbent though and as far as a pre-fold go, they are fine, though I much prefer the bamboo prefolds (much more expensive though).
