My search for the best reusable swim diaper is over!! Review by Nicole
Price Value Quality I bought one of these swim diapers for each of my children, one small, one medium, and one large. I love the different designs and don't even bother to put swim trunks over top on my 4 month old, I just don't want to cover up the cute swim diaper. The designs are all gender neutral too so my youngest will eventually wear all of them. You can get a package of [disposable] swim diapers for a little less than the price of a Swimmi but these last way longer than 10 uses and is better for the environment. The most important thing to remember with using a Swimmi is that they don't hold in the pee so don't put it on until it's needed. I've tried a few different reusable swim diapers and this is the only one that has held in the really loose newborn poop, which saves me from a lot of embarrassment!! We go swimming often and it's nice to know that my kids are keeping the water clean.
Would you recommend this product to a friend? Without hesitation!

Price Value Quality I really like this swim diaper. Bummis is a great, quality brand. The velcro is super strong, and I like the wide area to fasten it to. The prints are cute! Great fit. I wish it had laundry tabs though. (Posted on 1/1/11)

Price Value Quality These fit well, are easy to get on and off a wet, squirmy baby, and look adorable. I've tried other swim diapers but I'm now a Swimmi devotee. I was concerned that the velcro would stick to my swimsuit, but it's not a problem at all - and I wash them with our swimsuits with no problems. Just stick the tabs onto the diaper as if you were putting it on the baby before washing.
Of course, different pools have different rules, but reusable cloth diapers haven't been a problem at the city-owned pools in Ottawa. (Posted on 1/1/11) -

Price Value Quality My in-laws have a swimming pool, so we spend lots of time in the water. The Swimmi is perfect - it holds in the poop, and is completely adorable. The only problem is that the velcro can pull on your swimsuit. (Posted on 1/1/11)

The wide velcro makes for a custom fit and I can assure you, based on experience that this diaper holds in even the nastiest of accidents! LOL.
Because of the weight range, I was actually able to get two summers our of my Swimmi. Of course they demonstrate the Bummi's quality and I'll be using one of our pair for a third child this summer! (Posted on 1/2/11)

Price Value Quality This swim diaper is super cute! I love it. The fit is really nice, great fabric and nicely made. The velcro tabs seem really durable. My little one can get out of bumGenius diapers no problem but hasn't managed to undo her Swimmi.

I haven't yet had a poop to deal with so I can't comment on that. But, you do have to remember that the diaper doesn't hold pee so you can't put in on until you're at the beach, pool, or where ever.
My only critique of the Swimmi is that it doesn't have laundry tabs. I would prefer to launder it flat but then the velcro sticks to everything. (Posted on 7/14/10)

So cute, but fades in chlorine Review by Toniette
Value Quality Price I bought this to take my son swimming at the local pool over the winter, and it really works great! Haven't had a poop to contend with, just pee. It's so cute! The only thing I was disappointed in is that the colours faded severely after just 1 swim.
A message from the bynature.ca team: Unfortunately some fading should be expected when using the Swimmi (or any clothing) in a chlorinated pool, since chlorine is like a bleach. Clothing will fade to varying degrees, depending on the level of chlorine in a particular pool, so fading to this extent likely indicates a heavily chlorinated pool (the case with many public pools). In a salt-water pool or open water (beach), fading should be less evident.
