Replacement sports caps and lids are interchangeable with all sizes of Klean Kanteens and only non-leaching Polypropylene #5 (PP#5) is used in their construction.

Why is the sports cap & sippy lid made of plastic and not stainless steel?

The simple answer is, Your teeth! Polypropylene #5 plastic has been chosen for these lids because it has no known leaching characteristics and is softer if you hit a bump on the trail. This is especially important for baby, and they will appreciate the softer plastic mouth piece, rather than stainless steel against their tiny teeth.

This sports cap is made for use with reusable stainless steel water bottles. It is a combination sports/loop cap with a carabiner for easy clip 'n go storage. Dishwasher safe.
