Our Natural Rubber Duck is manufactured is Spain to strict EU safety standards. This natural latex rubber creation is painted with certified lead-free paint. The common rubber tree (known as Hevea brasiliensis) is the natural source of the material used to create this delightful little creature. Natural rubber can be sustainable-harvested without the use of herbicides. All-natural latex rubber is harvested by tapping the sap, or milk, from the rubber tree. The end product is this wonderful little natural latex rubber duck toy. This original rubber duck is made in Spain by a third-generation family business. Age & Safety Considerations: Original Rubber Duck is designed for children ages 3+ years old. This classic natural rubber duck is the perfect playtime toy for young children. However, due to small parts that could pose a choking hazard (imbedded squeaker), it is NOT recommended for children under the age of 3.
Original Rubber Duck is made out of all-natural latex rubber, which can be cleaned by gently wiping with a sponge or cloth using warm water and a small amount of mild soap. An environment-friendly alternative to soap is to use a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water, which also prevents soap or detergent residues on the toys. If you dislike the smell of vinegar you can substitute strained lemon juice. Please note that as a natural material, latex does need to be treated somewhat more carefully than plastics derived from petroleum. To protect your Original Rubber Duck, we recommend you avoid submersing it in boiling water, keeping it in an exceptional warm place (for example, near a radiator or above a heating vent) or washing with harsh chemicals. Also, keep Original Rubber Ducks out of direct sunlight to avoid having them dry out and become brittle over time.
