RLR Laundry Treatment ... remove residue & buildup from cloth diapers and more.
RLR Laundry Treatment is often recommended as a cure for stinky, leaky diapers that may be in need of stripping as it provides strong deep cleaning of the fibers, removing dried-in minerals, urine deposits and detergent residue. It also works well with hard water, pulling the built-up minerals out of the fibers and rinsing them away. It is phosphate-free, free of fragrance, non-polluting and biodegradable.
RLR Laundry Treatment is not a soap or bleach. It is a special treatment to remove dulling dried-in particles from fabric. Over an extended period of time, mineral deposits found in your water, dirt and soil sediment, and residual matter from detergents all accumulate in fabric causing it to look dingy. In the case of cloth diapers, this residue may impair absorbtion or cause odours to surface. RLR works by removing these particles from the clothing, holding them in suspension in the water and preventing redeposition so they rinse away clean. RLR helps remove buildup from your diapers which often causes repelling, leaking and odor issues.
Not a bleach, bluing, or detergent but rather RLR is a proprietary blend of sodium carbonate. While the main ingredient of RLR is pure sodium carbonate, this is a much stronger concentration than standard washing soda. This is not the same as what you might find in a grocery store, but a similar strength to what a swimming pool service may supply to increase the pH of water.
How to use RLR Laundry Treatment
For a front loading washing machine, wash laundry as usual with half a pack of RLR along with your regular detergent, and then run an additional rinse cycle. You may need to increase the water level for adequate agitation and rinsing of cloth diapers, if you are doing a stripping routine. If you have a top loading machine, use the full pack of RLR and once again, follow with an additional full rinse cycle.
RLR is safe to use with most cloth diaper brands as an occasional treatment (1-2 times per month at the most) but it is imperative you check with the manufacturer of your diapers first, to ensure the use of this product will not void any warranty. Some manufacturers are very specific about what they allow when washing their brand of cloth diapers.
Price is for one (1) package of RLR treatment. Made in the USA.
