These training pants come UNSTUFFED (without an absorbent core) so that you can customize them based on your own needs. An insert is required for absorbency. Q: Which training pants would you recommend we use?

A: Happy Heiny's Pocket Cloth Training Pants are our most absorbent training pant and the most like cloth diapers. They are perfect for the child that still has frequent accidents but doesn't want to wear real diapers anymore. They are a nice compromise when making the transition from diapers to real underwear, but a child isn't quite ready for real underwear yet - easy for both toddler and parents to use! They have a stay-dry fleece lining which is both a blessing and a curse. This custom-milled fleece lining wicks moisture away from a child's skin which is wonderful for bedwetters, sleepovers or car trips, however they prevent a child from feeling wet when they need to, to help accelerate potty learning.

Pull-up cloth training pants with a stay-dry fleece lining are ideal for toddlers learning to use the potty that would normally wear diapers to bed, or for the older child that may still occasionally wet during naps or overnight. Keeping your child's bed dry means less nighttime changes of bed linens and less laundry from washing sheets and mattress covers when using Happy Heiny's cloth training pants. You can customize the absorbency by adding additional absorbent stuffing's between the pocket layers. One layer can be used for less bulk during the day, and additional layers can be added for overnight use when more absorbency is required.

Happy Heiny's Training Pants require an insert for absorbency. For best results, Microfiber Inserts are the suggested stuffing for use inside the pocket opening. These are trim-fitting and very absorbent. We suggest the Medium/Large size for all size training pants when using only one insert. For bed wetting issues or additional absorbency needs, adding any additional size insert will help. The smaller the size, the less bulky the combination however with a larger size you will achieve more absorbency.
