Kringelring by Haba Toys is a wonderful teething ring made of beech wood with maple elements threaded over a sturdy, cloth-covered red band. Two blue rings clatter merrily when this rattle is handled. Finished with completely non-toxic, child-friendly substances, the Kringelring is a perfect first teething toy or rattle. Makes a wonderful baby shower gift!

This rattle is fun for the baby while being attractive and non-jarring to the parents. So many products today are garish and gimmicky - the Kringelring is just the opposite! My four-month-old enjoys it more today then she did a month ago, and I expect that trend to continue. She "gums" the ring while moving the small blue rings around the circle, and vice versa. It is the perfect size for my baby's little grasp, and the colors really catch her attention.

I went on a search for non toxic toys for my baby when i noticed that everyone was buying her plastic teethers and rattles. This was a good choice with its bright colors that attracted her and the noise it makes. She went through a stage where if the toy didn't make a good enough noise when shaken she wouldn't want to play with it, this toy made the cut. I thought that maybe because it is wooden it would damage easily but it still looks like new. (Posted on 1/1/11)
