Using Allen's Detergent with Cloth Diapers
Allen's Cloth Diaper Detergent is very concentrated! One small bottle will go a looooong way. Each one quart bottle (32 fl. oz. or 946 mL), will wash approximately 128 loads of cloth diapers (32 standard loads of laundry) in a top-loading machine. If you're washing cloth diapers twice per week, this bottle should last you more than 6 months! Allens Naturally is an economical choice.
For top-loading machines: Start with a 1/4 of a capful (approximately 1 tablespoon). If there are too many suds, reduce your amount of liquid. If the diapers are not getting clean enough, increase your liquid slightly. Increase to no more than 2 tablespoons per load. If you have soft water, you should be able to use less. If you have hard water, you may need to use more.
For front-loading HE machines: Start with only 1 teaspoon for each load. If there are too many suds, reduce your amount of liquid. If the diapers are not getting clean enough, increase your liquid slightly. Increase to no more than 2 teaspoons per load. If you have soft water, you should be able to use less. If you have hard water, you may need to use more.

Great cloth diaper detergent Review by Lorraine
Quality Price Value We have tried many detergents with our cloth diapers (pocket diapers with hemp inserts as well as hemp fitteds) and this is one of the best out there. Absolutely no residue and we have had no issues with diaper 'stinkies'. You need only a tiny tiny bit to do the job so it is very economical too. Also, our daughter has very sensitive skin and she has not had any skin reactions to clothes or diapers washed in Allen's. (Posted on 7/1/10)

Great product! Review by Linds
Value Quality Price We've been using Allen's for over a month now with our cloth diapers. Even with (almost) daily washes, Allen's doesn't build up, rinses out well and therefore hasn't caused any repelling. We used other diapering-specific detergents but had build-up and stinkies issues, so I highly recommend Allens. As noted previously, it's also very, very cost-efficient as you only have to use a small amount. I use a little over 1/2 an ounce for one load of diapers. Worth a try!!
